Nintendo Launches 3DS System With a Creative End Cap Header
Nintendo is using this very creative end cap header to showcase their new line of 3DS hand held units and accessories which are considered to be breakthroughs in the gaming industry. The steroscopic 3D display of the viewing screen gives objects within the game a feeling of depth and space increasing the experience and creating a more intuitive platform for gamers all without the use of glasses. As you view the other images, you will see the level of detail that went into this header and how the 3DS brand assets were combined to create an eye-popping visual at retail.

This view shows some of the intricate design elements used throughout. Little foamcore die cuts of game covers were carefully adhered to the right side of the shadow box design. Additional die cut pieces representing feature buttons were applied across the length of the header. The center of the display showcases a foamcore product replica of a gaming system which was tabbed through the back panel. Clear printed plastic was used to highlight brand imagery and added to the 3D theme. Note the light thief die cut at top of unit.

Saving the best for last, several layered die cuts of a gamers hands and a product replica were applied to the outside of the clear plastic adding a life-like 3D effect to the design. The image does not do justice for this well executed element which can truly only be appreciated live in person. I enjoyed combing through all of the wonderful details the header had to offer and give kudos to the creative minds behind this one!
