Job Description :

We are searching for a Display Designer at our office northeast of Pittsburgh. This position works closely with clients and sales representatives for the creation and design of a variety of product displays. This position is responsible for the creation of sketches, renderings, mock-ups, designs, prototypes, and assembly instructions.

Job Requirements :

- Use rough-hand sketching and computer rendering to communicate ideas with clients
- Design and engineer corrugated packaging displays in ArtiosCAD
- Cut and assemble prototypes from plotter cutter table
- Responsible for follow-up of design created by ensuring sample meets client specifications, distributing information through proper channels and to proper department
- Make regular calls to clients, visit store displays, and utilize email and telephone channels to communicate with client regarding project
- Making modifications if a revision is required by client
- Creating detailed (written or video) instructions for client distribution centers and/or retail
- Utilize online internet project management software (Expedite) to communicate project status, file uploads and downloads, and similar to clients
- Regular customer service and follow up
- Coordinate and cooperate with various internal departments, as well as external clients
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills :

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years experience designing packaging displays
- Ability to use ArtiosCAD, plotter-cutter, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Ability to use standard communication channels, such as email, telephone, scanner, fax
- Ability to create computer generated renderings
- Ability to create prototypes of designs

Preferred Qualifications

- 5-10 years progressive experience designing packaging displays in corrugated or POP industry
- Technical degree, certification, or training
- Ability to hand render
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Point of Purchase industry and related products
- Willingness and ability to operate forklift for the purpose of replenishing stock
