Hasbro Launches iPhone Binoculars With Stunning 3D Endcap Display
Toymaker Hasbro launched a handheld device that lets users watch 3D videos and play 3D games on their iPhone. The device, called My3D, attaches to an iPhone or iPod Touch and looks like a pair of binoculars.
Hasbro said it was guided by Apple during development and believes there's nothing available that matches the quality and 3-D experience on the iPhone or iPod Touch. More than 125 million iPod Touches and iPhones have shipped with that figure set to hit 200 million by end of 2011.
Inset shows the 3D binoculars which are merchandised below the end cap display. A few nice details shown in the image above are the shelf and pegboard backer which were finished with glossy black substrates. Both elements added a reflective quality to overall presentation.
Sneek-Peek into the structure reveals several triangular die cuts that were affixed to the shiny black backer. These various sized tip-ons created a stunning visual effect for consumers by quickly telling the brands story. Each tip-on was printed with a unique graphic that communicated product attributes and informative messaging describing various applications associated with my3D.
The finishing touch on this display was achieved with the use of 3D raised letters which really jumped off the white background on the central tip-on. Overall, the my3D endcap display created eye-popping visuals and served as a great tool to bring this product to life on-shelf.
